On the 2nd and 3rd of June 2021, the 1st Steering Committee Meeting of the MED-QUAD project

On the 2nd and 3rd of June 2021, the 1st Steering Committee Meeting of the MED-QUAD project will be held by distance, given the Covid-19 pandemic.

Formally, the organizer of the meeting is AASTMT.

During the meeting, partners will discuss the project's progress after 9 months of life from a technical, financial point of view. Particular attention will be given to disseminating MED-QUAD activities at the local, national, and international levels, both from a quantitative and qualitative perspective.

Then, partners will discuss and organise the activities for the next period, including the 1st Amendment and the 1st Interim Report.

The MED-QUAD project started in September 2020. The partnership is composed of the:

  • Epimorfotiki Kilkis SM LLC (Greece)

  • International Hellenic University – I.H.U. (Greece)

  • University of l’Aquila – UNIVAQ (Italy)

  • Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport – AASTMT (Egypt)

  • Al-Balqa' Applied University – BAU (Jordan)

  • Palestine Polytechnic University – PPU (Palestine)

  • University of Sousse – US (Tunisia)

The main goal of the "Quadruple Helix" approach and the Strategic Project "MEDiterranean QUadruple helix Approach to Digitalization" (MED-QUAD) of the ENI CBC MED Programme is the cooperation between the key players that promote innovation, i.e. Higher Education Institutions/Research Community, State, Business and Society. As concerns to the Universities, they must become “Civic Universities” and with industries and local governments must fully play the role of Institutions that are OF the city, not just IN the city.

The project is 90% funded by the European Union (EU) and has a budget of 3.3 million euros.
